Fold

Fold is a publicly listed bitcoin financial services company building tools to earn, buy, sell and live on Bitcoin. Seeking a Senior Back End Engineer to build financial infrastructure: payment processing, ledger systems, card transaction flows and event-driven pipelines. Requirements include 5+ years software engineering experience; strong in Java or similar (Kotlin, Scala, C#); experience with production microservices and distributed systems; familiarity with messaging/event streaming (Kafka, Pulsar); solid relational database and data modeling skills. Nice-to-haves: fintech/payments/ledger/accounting domain experience; event-driven architectures, CQRS, event sourcing; Micronaut, Quarkus or similar modern Java frameworks. US residency required (regulatory).
