Founding Engineering role with early IC focus (first 3–6 months) to build a multi-modal AI agent product (voice + SMS + email). Responsibilities include building real-time voice systems (streaming audio, low latency, turn-taking), SMS and email automation with robust state + memory; designing architecture and data model for reliability, observability, deployment, and developer velocity; setting quality bar (clean code, pragmatic abstractions, testing strategy, ensuring uptime, and thoughtful product UX); partnering closely with co-founders on product decisions. Looking for strong full-stack capability and smart tradeoffs, product sense, systems thinking for latency/reliability/iteration speed, high ownership, and startup mindset. Bonus: agentic systems (LLM orchestration, tool calling, RAG, evals, prompt/versioning, guardrails), voice/telephony or streaming experience (WebSockets/WebRTC, audio pipelines, turn detection), messaging + deliverability (SMS workflows, email sending, compliance/opt-in, bounce handling), and familiarity with modern stacks such as TypeScript/Node, Python, React/Next.js, Postgres, Redis, queues, Docker, and AWS/GCP, observability.
